Iron Gate Estate is one of the few wineries in the Hunter Valley that manages all aspects of winemaking on-site, from vine, to barrel, to bottle.
The journey begins in the 25-acre vineyard of our 40-acre estate, where grapes are handpicked at optimum ripeness, before being processed in our boutique winery.
Winemaker Roger Lilliott uses minimal sulphite additions, state-of-the-art Italian equipment and a judicious use of oak to create wines that are softer and more fruit-driven in style. These unique, food-friendly wines truly reflect their varietal characters, the vintage and the region.
