The first wine made from this variety under this label, this delicious, red wine is deep cherry -red in colour with savoury notes of plum, raspberry, tomato leaf and mocha- like American oak notes. The palate displays rich red fruit flavours of plum and blueberry with a soft drying tannin and oak finish.
The first Tempranillo made in this winery and wow!! This Hunter Valley wine has big colour, big flavour and big tannin , and has a special something….it’s a little bit different (in a good way) . Aromatics of cherry, violets, bay leaf and plum with vanilla-oak scents combine in the bouquet. A palate that is both powerful and friendly follows, with a structure and flavour quite different to the usual noble varieties. On its first release, the wine sold strongly and the remaining bottles are for members and a re-release in the future.
A delicious, savoury wine that will complement rich beef dishes or lamb shanks, shaved or grilled meats, spiced sausage, stews or crumbly cheese.
