Despite Rosé having a reputation as an easy-drinking style, we take our Rosé making very seriously. The vintage conditions decide where the fruit is sourced from for one of our most popular wines, however we like to use our own fruit where we can. The Iron Gate Estate style has aromas of redcurrant, rosebud, and raspberry with an easy-going palate of red berries, and a refreshingly drying finish that is sure to please.
This wine sells out on its release so make sure you get in quickly for your allotment.
This Rosé is predominantly made from early harvested Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Hilltops and Hunter Valley regions of NSW. The grapes were allowed a traditional short, skin-contact time before being gently pressed, and then the clear juice was cool fermented over a few weeks. The wine was then settled and bottled early to retain the fresh fruit characters. A light blush-pink in colour, with aromas of rose bud, redcurrant and Turkish delight and delicious cranberry and raspberry-like flavours, this wine is perfect for any occasion.
Delicious on its own as an aperitif, or will complement salads, cold meats, tapas, seafood and poultry and pork dishes. Enjoy this wine in moderation.
