Chardonnay is known as one of the Hunter Valley’s icon varieties. Our version of this wine is made in the traditional style of oak barrel fermentation with regular “batonnage” or lees stirring. A small portion was partially fermented in French oak and then blended back with a portion of unoaked fruit. It has aromas of banana and stone-fruit and toasty vanillin oak. The palate has a creamy texture witnh flavours of vanilla and peach and a refreshing acid finish.
A delicious wine made for shellfish, pasta, poultry and pork dishes or enjoyed with cheese.
