Tempranillo is establishing itself as a great variety for Australian conditions and this delicious wine is cherry -red in colour with savoury notes of plum, raspberry, tomato leaf and mocha- like American oak notes. The palate displays rich, red fruit flavours of plum and blueberry with a soft, drying tannin and oak finish.
This is our second vintage of this famous varietal, and we were so impressed we have grafted over an acre of our vines to this variety. Deep cherry red in colour, this wine has a savoury bouquet of tomato bush, earth, and Indian spice with understated vanillin American oak notes.
The medium weight palate is silky smooth and has flavours of spice, dried raspberry and nutmeg with an understated note of oak with just a hint of drying tannins. A style we are enamoured with that will complement any red meat dish or hard cheese.
A good wine to accompany roasted beef dishes or lamb shanks.
